Kawagoe

Known locally as "Little Edo" for its concentration of historic buildings that recall the old name for Tokyo, Kawagoe is a city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It became the first city established in Saitama Prefecture when it was incorporated in 1922, and today draws visitors to its well-preserved Edo-period streetscapes within easy reach of the capital.
