Vrisa
Λέσβος, Λήμνος · Greece
A village on the southern part of Lesbos whose name traces back to the Trojan War — one of two girls Agamemnon is said to have taken from the island — Vrisa sits within a few kilometres of both the long Vatera beach and the ancient Temple of Dionysos. A 2017 earthquake left much of the village uninhabitable, giving it a largely deserted character that visitors should expect before arriving.
