This coastal town on Galicia's Cantabrian shore, Viveiro sits at the mouth of the Río Landro where it meets the Ría de Viveiro, with a walkable centre dense with food and drink options and scenic viewpoints across the water. Its Holy Week processions hold International Tourist Interest status, and two further festivals — the Rapa das Bestas de Candaoso and the Romería de Naseiro — carry national tourist interest recognition. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
