Valderrobres

Photogenic modest town in Aragon's Teruel province, Valderrobres sits directly on the Matarranya River with a Gothic church, a Gothic castle, and a Renaissance town hall clustered at its centre. The town is the administrative capital of the Matarraña comarca and has a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. Opera soprano Elvira de Hidalgo was born here in 1891, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
