Uherský Brod, a town in the Zlín Region of Czechia, is known as the place where the philosopher and pedagogue John Amos Comenius lived, with a museum and secondary school bearing his name. Its well-preserved historic centre, protected as an urban monument zone, sits on the Olšava River and holds two notable churches: the Church of the Immaculate Conception and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Vineyards surround the town, and cafés and restaurants are concentrated in the compact centre.
