A walkable town in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina with a dense food-and-drink scene, historic churches, and deep wine country on its doorstep, Trebinje sits on the banks of the Trebišnjica river in mountain terrain. Its 18th-century Ottoman old town, the Walled Town of Trebinje, includes the Arslanagić Bridge spanning the river, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
