A tiny coastal town in Sabah, Malaysia, Sipitang sits on the water near the Sarawak border and serves as a transit point for overland and sea routes connecting Brunei Darussalam and the federal territory of Labuan. It is the closest Sabah town to the Sabah-Sarawak border, with mountain country and the Long Pasia tourism area lying to the south.
