Jointly inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List with Mantua in 2008, Sabbioneta is a small village in Lombardy's Mantova province, sitting near the northern bank of the Po River. Despite its size, it holds a notable cluster of churches and a handful of cafés and restaurants, and lies within easy reach of wine country and scenic viewpoints. It is also a member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia, the national register of Italy's most beautiful villages.
