Quillota
Chile
Agricultural town in Chile's Aconcagua River valley, Quillota has a compact centre with cafés, restaurants, and historic churches, and is surrounded by vineyards, avocado plantations, and cherimoya orchards. Charles Darwin documented the area's landscape and farming in The Voyage of the Beagle, and nearby La Campana National Park marks his visit with a commemorative plaque. The town also claims Chile's oldest cemetery and the country's first hospital.
