Potočari, a village in the Srebrenica municipality of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is known today as the site of the main memorial and cemetery for the 1995 Srebrenica genocide, when thousands of refugees from the surrounding region were killed by the Army of Republika Srpska. The memorial draws visitors seeking to understand one of the most documented atrocities of the Bosnian War.
