This modest Apulian town on the Ionian coast of the Salento peninsula with a café and restaurant scene that punches well above its size, Porto Cesareo is best known for its shallow, clear waters, long sandy beaches, and a coastline of capes, islets, and reefs. The surrounding sea is protected as a National Marine Park, and the coast's several small islands — including the Isola dei Conigli — make it a strong destination for coastal photography.
