This county seat in the Arkansas Delta set along the Arkansas River, Pine Bluff sits at the edge of the Arkansas Timberlands amid flat farmland threaded with creeks, streams, and bayous. Bayou Bartholomew, which runs through the area, is recorded as the longest bayou in the world and the second most ecologically diverse stream in the United States. The city centre holds a number of historic churches, and listed heritage architecture can be found nearby.
