Pocket-sized village on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth, Omeath sits directly on the shore of Carlingford Lough and has a handful of cafés and restaurants for its size. Roughly midway between Dublin and Belfast, it lies close to the border with Northern Ireland, with Carlingford a short drive to the south and Newry similarly close across the water at Warrenpoint.
