Llywel
TLL41 · United Kingdom
This little Welsh hamlet in Powys sits beside the Afon Gwydderig, not far from the river's source, in mountain country that includes Fan Brycheiniog — the highest peak of the Black Mountain — and Llyn y Fan Fawr. The Church of St David, a Gothic Perpendicular building, holds a stone inscribed in Ogham script, while the Llywel Stone, also bearing Ogham inscription, is now held in the British Museum.
