Brazil Limeira

Limeira

Limeira · Brazil

Known internationally as Brazil's plated jewelry capital, Limeira is a mid-sized city in the state of São Paulo where more than 450 companies produce roughly half of the country's exports in plated and semi-jewelry. The city also carries a layered agricultural history — once a major coffee hub centered on the Fazenda Ibicaba estate, then the self-styled orange capital of Brazil, and now a leading sugar cane producer. Historic 19th-century farmsteads in the surrounding area support rural and ecological tourism.
