A small peninsula town at one of Anatolia's westernmost points, Karaburun sits at the northern tip of its namesake peninsula in İzmir Province, with bays and beaches along the coast and scenic views across the Gulf of İzmir toward Foça. The surrounding area is known in Turkey for its variety of wildflowers, particularly narcissus and hyacinth. A compact central core offers cafés and restaurants, and the peninsula remains far quieter than the resort town of Çeşme to the south.
