This small Finnish municipality in Central Finland with a modest café and restaurant scene in its centre, Joutsa sits amid lake-dotted terrain and is associated with a traditional farmhouse ale called Joutsan sahti. The town hosted the 1985 International Mathematical Olympiad, with 38 countries competing over two days in July of that year.
