Järnforsen
Sweden
This pocket-sized Swedish village in Kalmar County sits along the Emån river, which has been dammed since the 1960s by the Järnforsen power station for electricity production. The settlement grew up around the railway that arrived in 1906, and for a time the tourist-oriented Emådalen line ran through the village. South of the village, at Slättemossa, lies a deposit of orbicular granite.
