A little town in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina where the Janja river meets the Drina, Janja sits along both banks of the Janja river south of Bijeljina. The largest settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina that is not a municipal seat, it is the only Bosniak community in the Bijeljina municipality and is home to many people displaced from other parts of the country. Mountains are accessible in the wider region, which also holds UNESCO World Heritage sites.
