A compact northeastern Bosnian city with a walkable centre, a concentration of historic churches, and a café and restaurant scene clustered around its core. Bijeljina serves as the regional hub of Semberija, a fertile lowland plain, and has long been a centre for food production and trade. Mountains are visible from the city, and the surrounding area sits close to the water.
