Imouzzer Kandar

A mountain town in Morocco's Middle Atlas region, Imouzzer Kandar sits at high elevation on the road between Fès and Ifrane, with several UNESCO World Heritage sites in the wider region. Most of its residents belong to the Ait Seghrouchen, an Amazigh people of the Middle Atlas, giving the town a distinct Berber cultural character. Fès lies a short drive to the north, making Imouzzer Kandar a practical base for exploring the region.
