Morocco's highest city sits in the Middle Atlas Mountains, surrounded by rivers, oak forests, and rugged terrain. Boulemane serves as the provincial capital of Boulemane Province within the Fès-Meknès region, and its high-altitude setting brings cooler temperatures and agricultural landscapes — orchards, olive groves, and fields of potatoes and corn — alongside wildlife including wild boar. The area around the city includes numerous villages and connects to destinations such as Missour and Tarmoucht.
