Walkable coastal town on the Bothnian Sea in northern Sweden, Härnösand sits at the edge of the High Coast UNESCO World Heritage landscape, which begins just a short distance to the north. The town centre has a real café and restaurant scene, a cathedral, and serves as the seat of both a diocese and the county governor — making it the smallest provincial capital in Sweden by population.
