Genga

This little comune in the Marche region of Ancona is best known as the ancestral home of the della Genga noble family, whose most famous member was Pope Leo XII, and as the gateway to the Frasassi caves, a significant speleological and karst system. The village sits on the Sentino river in mountain terrain and also functions as a spa centre and nature reserve.
