This tiny wine-country town in the Gard department of southern France, Calvisson sits in the Vaunage between Nîmes, Montpellier, the Cévennes, and the Camargue, with a café and restaurant scene in its compact centre. The town has a strong Protestant history and holds three protected historic monuments: the Neolithic burial site of Cante-Perdrix, the church of Saint-Saturnin, and the Maison Margarot.
