This town in Central Bosnia set on the river Vrbas, Bugojno sits close to Kalin Mountain and the dense Koprivnica forest to the west — once a favored hunting ground of President Tito and still active hunting and hiking territory today, with mountain lodges throughout. The Duboka Valley, a spruce-covered hunting area, draws weekend visitors, and the wider region lies within reach of several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
