This small town in the Audomarois area of Pas-de-Calais, Blendecques sits along the Aa river valley south of Saint-Omer, with a central core of cafés and restaurants. The commune holds two listed historic monuments — the Abbaye Sainte-Colombe and the Château de Westhove — and its territory includes several protected natural areas and a Natura 2000 site covering heathland and the alluvial system of the Aa valley.
