This small village in the Aude department of southern France sits alongside the Hers-Vif river in the Lauragais, the historic region once known as the "Pays de Cocagne" for its prosperous pastel-growing and grain production. Seven listed monuments are spread across the village, including the 1906-classified church of Saint-Saturnin and the Chapelle du Saint-Sépulcre. The surrounding countryside falls within two Natura 2000 protected zones, with the Pyrenees visible on the horizon.
