This tiny town in the Zlatibor District of southwestern Serbia, Arilje is best known for the Church of St. Achillius, built in 1296 as the endowment of King Dragutin. Set in mountain terrain along a river, the town has a modest central core with cafés and restaurants, and sits within a wider region that includes UNESCO World Heritage sites.
