City in central Serbia with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants, sitting at the confluence of the Zapadna Morava river. Close by, the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge — sometimes called the Serbian Mount Athos — holds more than thirty monasteries built into its walls since the 14th century, making it a draw for day trips from the city. The wider region also sits near UNESCO World Heritage sites.
