Xingning

Xingning, a county-level city in northeastern Guangdong Province, has been a settlement since 331 AD and carries a long-standing reputation as a homeland of overseas Chinese emigrants, a centre of local culture, and a football town. The second largest city in eastern Guangdong, it sits within sight of mountains and alongside water, and holds a Wikivoyage entry suggesting some independent traveller traffic through the region.
