Wolgast is a small town in northeastern Germany on the Peenestrom, facing the island of Usedom, which it serves as a gateway. The town is known for its preserved historic centre with listed buildings, a working harbour, and the Peene-Werft shipyard. A bascule bridge called the Blaues Wunder carries road and rail traffic across to Usedom.
