A small seasonal resort village on the Sithonia peninsula of Chalkidiki, northern Greece, Vourvourou sits directly on the water with several beaches — including Livari, Xifaras, Karydi, Bara, and Fava — spread along its coastline. The area produces olive oil, honey, tsipouro, wine, and fish. Rather than a traditional village with a square or deep history, it functions as a strip of tavernas, shops, and accommodation, busy in summer and quiet the rest of the year.
