Vieille Case
Dominica
North-coast village in Dominica with two beaches — Au Parc and Au Tout — and mountain terrain close by, Vieille Case sits where Kalinago, French, and African histories converge. Its name translates as "old house" in local French, and the Kalinago called the area Itassi. The village served as a filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean and is the birthplace of several Dominican politicians, including former prime minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
