Vendrogno

This small hamlet above Lake Como, now part of Bellano in Lombardy's Lecco province, sits in wine-growing country with scenic views toward the lake and surrounding mountains. Several churches serve a community of fewer than 500 people, including the central church of San Lorenzo. Once an independent municipality, Vendrogno merged with Bellano in January 2020, and lies within a wider region ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
