A city in Minas Gerais, Brazil, known across the country as one of the leading furniture-manufacturing centres in the state and as the origin of the Ubá mango, a variety that carries its name. Once a major tobacco producer — tobacco still appears on the municipal flag — Ubá now anchors its surrounding microregion as an economic and cultural hub, with a centre that includes several historic churches.
