Tonopah
Nye County · United States
Once nicknamed the Queen of the Silver Camps, Tonopah is a little Nevada town roughly midway between Las Vegas and Reno, sitting in mountain terrain at the junction of two major US highways. Its mining-rich past draws visitors to landmarks like the Mizpah Hotel and the Clown Motel, and the town has a modest but real café and restaurant scene for its size. The nearby Tonopah Test Range adds a further layer of interest.
