Tolaga Bay
New Zealand
This small East Coast village on New Zealand's North Island, Tolaga Bay sits directly on the water and is known for its long 1920s wharf — the second longest in the country — which stretches out over a shallow bay. The surrounding region is rugged, with mountains close by. Despite its size, the village has a handful of cafés and restaurants, and the bay and wharf make it a visually striking stop on the coast northeast of Gisborne.
