Thomasville, the county seat of Thomas County in southern Georgia, calls itself the "City of Roses" and holds an annual Rose Festival. The historic downtown includes plantations open to the public, a large farmers' market, and a sprawling oak tree dating to around 1680 at the corner of Monroe and Crawford Streets.
