Known locally as the "Golden City," Tarkwa is a town in Ghana's Western Region with a compact centre holding a concentration of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches. The surrounding area is home to several Fante communities, including Efuanta, Tamso, and Aboso, and the town sits within reach of both water and mountain terrain.
