Taloqan
Afghanistan
Taloqan is the provincial capital of Takhar in northeastern Afghanistan, a city-sized town set within sight of mountains and a short drive from water. Its bazaars, mosques, parks, and restaurants give it the texture of a regional hub, and a major road connects it westward to Kunduz and northeast toward Badakhshan Province. Takhar University sits in the northwestern part of the city.
