A village on the shore of Lake Siljan in Dalarna, Sweden, Tällberg is known across the country as a tourist destination and for its traditional midsummer celebration, listed among the "1,000 Places to See Before You Die." The village retains an all-timber built environment — every house and building is made of wood — and sits within reach of mountain scenery and a wider region with UNESCO World Heritage connections. Eight hotels serve visitors in a settlement with only a few hundred permanent residents.
