A rural commune in Morocco's Zagora Province, Tagounite sits along the Draa River and is known for its abandoned kasbahs and the meteorites found in the surrounding area. The town also serves as one of the arrival points for the annual Africa Eco Race. It once held a sizeable Jewish community before the mid-20th-century exodus to Israel.
