Sundvollen
Norway
Sitting on the eastern shore of Tyrifjorden in Buskerud, Sundvollen is a little Norwegian village where mountain terrain and lakeside scenery converge at a historic crossroads. Sundvolden Hotel, one of Norway's oldest, has been documented since 1648, while Kleivstua began as a coaching inn in 1780 on the Old Royal Bergen Road between Oslo and Ringerike. The forested Krokskogen area and the steep Krokkleiva road offer scenic viewpoints above the fjord.
