Stokmarknes

Nordland/Nordlánnda · Norway

Stokmarknes, a small town on the northern coast of Hadseløya island in Norway's Vesterålen archipelago, is the headquarters of the Hurtigruten coastal express company and home to the Coastal Express Museum. Set against mountain terrain and right on the water, it also has a strong photographic profile. The historic Hadsel Church lies a short distance east of town, and the Børøy and Hadsel bridges connect Stokmarknes to neighbouring islands.
