Shippagan
Shippagan · Canada
Shippagan, on the Acadian Peninsula in northeastern New Brunswick, is the commercial fishing capital of the province — a pocket-sized port town with waterfront access and a university presence that gives it more activity than its size might suggest. The town officially adopted its French spelling in 1981, reflecting the Acadian character of the region.
