Sheopur · India
A town in northern Madhya Pradesh known for its woodcarving tradition, where craftspeople produce intricately carved doors, ceilings, masks, toys, and household objects from a range of local timbers. Sheopur sits on the right bank of the Seep River — from which its name derives — with the Chambal River forming the Rajasthan state boundary a short distance to the north. The Palpur-Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary is the district's main natural attraction.
