Sarospatak

A small town on the Bodrog river in northern Hungary, Sárospatak — often called simply Patak — served as the residence of the Rákóczi princes and is considered a birthplace candidate for Saint Elizabeth of the House of Árpád. It sits in the Zemplén wine country, with a central core of cafés and restaurants, and the wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
