Sao Marcos da Serra

A pocket-sized village in the Algarve's inland mountain terrain, São Marcos da Serra sits within the municipality of Silves and lends its name to the São Marcos-Quarteira Fault, a geological feature extending more than 40 kilometres toward the coast. The village has also drawn attention as the reported site of apparitions of Nossa Senhora da Bondade.
