Santa Cruz (Torres Vedras)

A beach town on the Atlantic coast of Portugal's Oeste region, Santa Cruz is known for its extensive beaches and strong surf conditions, hosting the annual Ocean Spirit festival of wave sports, which includes official rounds of international circuits. The shoreline inspired poets including Antero de Quental and João de Barros, and a walking route opened in 2016 traces the places they frequented.
